So. I am still avoiding further tackling the lyrics on Live At The Mac.... ;-) Usually that would mean nothing much happens around here, but not this time. I've actually been quite busy...

So, I'm still avoiding tackling the lyrics for Live At The Mac. If you've heard it then you'll understand why. I've been keeping myself busy though, with frankly more interesting stuff. Here's what I've been up to....
Just in case you haven't noticed, most of the images on the site enlarge to 1100x1100 if you click on them. Scans are all done at 300 dpi, and photos taken with a 24MP digital SLR. You don't need to squint your eyes or hold a magnifying glass against your monitor in order to see the pictures. By the way, there's another Larry Norman tribute concert coming up....... ;-) The last month has brought lots of new content to tell you about, assuming you haven't already stumbled across it of your own accord. You can use the following list to tick off what you've seen, and to marvel at what you haven't.
Lastly, within the last hour I've created a 'the wants list' page. It's far from complete yet but please check it out. There are lots of possibilities to make money out of me, or to help out this site with images etc. I'll probably add a for sale / trade section too in time. I'm also thinking that this page could be used to broker sales / trades between visitors, if there's any interest...... It's been rather quiet around here lately, what with family holidays and work trips. Anyway, word on the streets of Oslo is that there are some new Solid Rock releases on their way. Quite exciting new releases. Much more exciting than the new content on this site. Still, Larry's album title notwithstanding, at least there is something new here:
After May's little detour, I've reverted mainly to plugging gaps, and have now reached 1978. This has resulted in referencing a few compilation albums, and of course involved digitising lots of 7" singles, followed by scrutinous listening through a pair of Grados. I did complete a couple of album pages too though, just to keep that side ticking over.
Collectors lament. Both a pro and a con of sites like this is that collectors learn about things they didn't know existed. They then spend time and money hunting down said elusive items. Time and money that could be spent digging weeds out of their garden or washing the car. Anyway, what I'm alluding to is the fact that I've spent a good portion of the last month scanning artwork for every CD** release up to and including 1998s Gathered Moments. In between weeding and car washing of course.
** CDs only for now, until I figure out if I can scan LPs. And until I can be bothered scanning cassettes. Did you know there are at least fifteen CD releases of In Another Land? Or that Both Sides Of People is available on CD? Do you have everything? Do you care? Do you have something I don't? If so, please let me know! Anyway, reducing the scanning, straightening, cropping and photoshopping of hundreds of CD images to a sentence or two, here's what's new:
Hutza Mutza!
The list of updates this round make it look as if I've been randomly jumping around the site with no rhyme or reason. This is primarily because I wanted to document the brand new CD Archive, and because I went right back to 1967 and started working forwards to capture anything I'd previously missed - numerous singles for example. Anyway, the end result is lots of new detail for fans to obsess over, as well as lots of new song pages. What's new:
So, the party in Salem was fun. I met some nice people, and some nice people met me. I'm not sure any of them could understand anything I said, but they nodded politely at what seemed appropriate enough moments. (I have a rather strong and un-American accent). Reports on what went down are all over the internet so I won't get into that here.
Anyway, despite that trip taking up two out of the last four weeks, I've actually done some work here. Specifically:
Talking of singles, if anyone has any they'd consider selling, or would be willing to provide scans / photographs of for use on this site, please don't hesitate to get in touch. There's a contact form on the Songs landing page, or you can click on the little Mail icon that is on the Home and About pages. PS Gregory Thornbury's biography on Larry Norman is officially released this coming week. It's a good and insightful read. As usual I’ve been finding lots of things to do other than updating this site. Somehow though, the following has happened in my absence. How is something of a mystery...
There's a party in what was Larry's house this weekend, to celebrate him on the tenth anniversary of his passing. See you there? So, the following has happened since last time.....
