Blarney Stone was dedicated to Jon Linn and his brother Jimmy. (Both passed away during the time the album was being compiled). The main disc is a collection of live recordings sourced from bootlegs, primarily New Zealand 1979 and Rotterdam, Holland 1982. The last four tracks are previews of The Belfast Bootlegs. The second disc was added at the last minute, after Jon Linn died, and gives a brief overview of Jon's work on Solid Rock Records. A recording of Jon playing a composition of his own for Larry is included
Note that New Zealand 1979 is the same bootleg that was later used to create Snapshots From The 77 World Tour, so there is overlap between Blarney Stone and that album. The Blarney Stone audio quality is noticeably better
