"Andrae Crouch suggested that I write this song," Larry wrote. "We were flying back from some festival we did together and he suggested I compose an answer to all the speculation and gossip I had to put up with. I didn't take him seriously but then this song popped up one day and I sat down and tried to make it a song that might make other people laugh about the situation, too.""
