lyrics version 1
We can be together for now and forever
I love you, I love you
Now when I'm praying and I hear you saying
I love you, I love you
People all over the world, they're opening up
They're coming alive, they're saying
I love you [x12]
Brother and sister, mrs and mister
I love you, I love you
He made me feel it and I can't conceal it
I love you, I love you
Jesus came into the world to show us the way (Ooh)
To set us all free and when he died he was saying
I love you [x18]
We can be together for now and forever
I love you, I love you
Brother and sister, mrs and mister
I love you, I love you
I love you [x23]
I love you, I love you
Now when I'm praying and I hear you saying
I love you, I love you
People all over the world, they're opening up
They're coming alive, they're saying
I love you [x12]
Brother and sister, mrs and mister
I love you, I love you
He made me feel it and I can't conceal it
I love you, I love you
Jesus came into the world to show us the way (Ooh)
To set us all free and when he died he was saying
I love you [x18]
We can be together for now and forever
I love you, I love you
Brother and sister, mrs and mister
I love you, I love you
I love you [x23]
lyrics version 2
We can be together for now and forever
I love you, I love you
Hey can you hear me, I got to have you near me
I love you, I love you
I was lonely till you came along
And now you've got me singing your love song
I love you [x12]
Life is a mystery, love is a dancer
I love you (I love you)
I had a question, you brought the answer
I love you (I love you)
Oh but I need you so
I could never let you go-oh-no-oh
I love you [x12]
Yes I love you
Oh but I need you so
(Ah ah ah) I could never let you go-oh-no no
I love you [x18]
I was lonely once but then you came along and I love you
(La la la la la la la la la la la love you, I love you)
And you gave me love so I wrote down this song, hey I love you
(La la la la la la la la la la la love you, I love you)
I wanna spend my life with you like the angels on high, hey I love you
(La la la la la la la la la la la love you, I love you)
You're the morning star, the son in my sky and I love you
(La la la la la la la la la la la love you)
I love you, I love you
Hey can you hear me, I got to have you near me
I love you, I love you
I was lonely till you came along
And now you've got me singing your love song
I love you [x12]
Life is a mystery, love is a dancer
I love you (I love you)
I had a question, you brought the answer
I love you (I love you)
Oh but I need you so
I could never let you go-oh-no-oh
I love you [x12]
Yes I love you
Oh but I need you so
(Ah ah ah) I could never let you go-oh-no no
I love you [x18]
I was lonely once but then you came along and I love you
(La la la la la la la la la la la love you, I love you)
And you gave me love so I wrote down this song, hey I love you

"The lyrics to this song were re-written at the last moment when Larry realized he was going to sing it. The earlier lyrics are the ones which were contained on Randy Stonehill's underground album, Born Twice." - referring to the fact that the song was not intended for inclusion on In Another Land, and was substituted in after the record company refused to release some of the intended songs. Larry added this song largely just to make the play lengths on both sides of the cassette almost equal.
