lyrics version 1
A man's got to feel like a man
And that's up to woman
Can do as well as any man can
But she's got to show him
Give him confidence and love
I want you to know
That my love just overflows
When you do all you can
To make me feel like a giant man
A woman's got to follow her man
And stay right there beside him
He'll do all that he can
To let her hide behind him
From the dangers of the world
I want you to know
That my love just overflows
When you do all you can (Ooh aah)
To make me feel like a giant man
Yeh heah
Yeh heh heah
Wo-oh-ho-oh-oh-oh-oh
A giant man
A giant man
I want you to know
That my love just overflows
When you do all you can
To make me feel like a giant man
A man's got to feel like a man
And that's up to woman
Can do as well as any man can
But she's got to show him
Give him confidence and love
I want you to know
That my love just overflows
When you do all you can (Ah ooh)
To make me feel like a giant man
I want you to know
Hey hey hey-eh
I want you to know
Wo-ho-yeh
I want you to know
Wo-oh ye-heh
I want you to know
Yeah eh hey hey
I want you to know
Oh I want you to know
And that's up to woman
Can do as well as any man can
But she's got to show him
Give him confidence and love
I want you to know
That my love just overflows
When you do all you can

Larry's description of version 2:
This is a shard of a rehearsal I was teaching to some of the cast members. I was "borrowing" some of the cast members to knock this out and see what it sounded like. It sounded to me like some one was singing a 13 note but I didn't have the time or inclination to fix the harmonies. They worked just fine for me in my rushed state. This was a song Gene Mason wrote and was placed on the second album by People!, l think. None of us in the band seem to remember what album the songs were on. All I am sure about is that l had already left People! but had kept in touch despite the rule of Scientology which said l was a "suppressive". So I worked on his recording of "Beechwood Park" and a couple of others until he quit the band and we started a new People! in 1974. It had nothing to do with any of my musicals.
Gene Mason's recording of Beechwood Park (written by C. White) was released as a single on Sierra Records, PT-697. The B-side (PT-698) was With Pen In Hand, written by B. Goldsboro
